	Seabrook Island, on the South Carolina coast, is unique in that it is totally private and owned by its residents. Access to the island is carefully controlled by a security gate to ensure total privacy for residents and guests. Seabrook has quietly transformed itself by investing over $30 million in a spectacular new oceanfront Beach Club pool and outdoor restaurant complex; there is a new Club House to cater for golfers on the championship golf courses – 36 holes in all; and there is a stunning Lake House Community Centre with indoor and outdoor pools, a 6,000 sq ft fitness centre, play area and events lawn.

Seabrook Island is 20 miles from historic Charleston (flights from London with US Airways or Continental) and its airport is very user friendly with most major car rental companies right in the airport.
